Maltech twice digitalizes St. John of God with LAN
Thirteen years after its founding Maltech returned to St. John of God College of Health Sciences in Mzuzu to set up a LAN. This was a second assignment at the hospital after a similar digitization project was carried out there in 2009.
Maltech hit the ground running when within a year of its inception installed LAN the same year it was established.
The St. John of God LAN comprised of 105 nodes. The St. John of God College of Health Sciences was formed in 2003 and is part of Saint John of God Hospitaller Services.
The latest project lasted four weeks to complete which has improved speed/connectivity and increase number of network nodes.
Maltech used Ubiquiti Unifi Access Points, BDCOM Switches and Gigacore Cat6 Network Cables providing fast access between computers.
The long customer relationship with St. John of God College of Health Sciences is Maltech’s approach of understanding its clients’ needs, use genuine materials as stipulated in our estimates/proposals. Maltech respond quickly to any issues that may arise after installation in addition to12 Months free support.
St. John of God College Contributes to the development of health professionals in Malawi and the sub region through provision of training and Maltech feels honoured to be part of this agenda.
Maltech has 4 technical support personnel but with capacity to supply equipment of any value through facilities that we have with our banks.
The interesting part in all projects was the requirement to work without any down time- time during which a machine, especially a computer, is out of action or unavailable for use.
