Maltech in public sector Mzuzu Central Hospital (LAN REVAMP)
Maltech’s brand reflects the widespread nature of its services, which have expanded to various sectors, including public, quasi-public, and private. In 2010, just one year after its inception, Maltech undertook a significant project that involved revamping Mzuzu Central Hospital’s local area network. This project propelled the emerging IT firm to the prestigious category of the Malawi government’s trusted supplier of goods and services list, making it a recognized player in the public sector.
Through its provision of IT services, Maltech contributed to the delivery of services in the public health sector, showcasing the recognition that it enjoys across the country. Mzuzu Central Hospital, which is the largest hospital in the northern region of Malawi, now boasts Wi-Fi connectivity across all its wards and departments, which are centrally managed.
Despite only being in operation for just over a year, Maltech’s participation in government projects, such as the Mzuzu Central Hospital revamp, contributes to Agenda 2063, Africa’s development plan aimed at achieving inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development over 50 years.
The provision of Wi-Fi at Mzuzu Central Hospital is a testament to Maltech’s commitment to driving technological advancements in the health sector, enabling better patient care, and supporting the government’s efforts to improve the delivery of healthcare services in Malawi.
